The story behind the print
This beetle wall art print presents six insect illustrations arranged in a two-by-three grid on a neutral background. Each beetle is shown from above with distinct markings: a cream and black striped body, a red shell with black spots, a red and cream mottled pattern, and three further red and cream variations. The composition uses bold outlines and flat colour to emphasise the segmented bodies, antennae, and legs.
The palette is limited to deep red, black, and cream, giving the insect print a graphic, almost taxonomic quality. The beetles are evenly spaced and centred, creating a balanced layout that works as a single focal point or as part of a gallery wall. The illustration style is reminiscent of vintage entomological plates, with clear symmetry and repeated forms across the grid.
This print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks.
