The artwork uses a Japanese sumi-e ink style, characterised by bold black brushstrokes and minimal shading. In the upper right corner, calligraphy characters appear alongside a small red seal stamp, adding a traditional touch. The palette is limited to black, cream, and red, creating a high-contrast, graphic look. The bear's posture and the fish's curved body add a sense of movement to the scene.
