The story behind the print

This black cat poster features a stylised black feline standing against a solid coral background. The cat's body is patterned with pale pink five-petalled flowers and scattered gold spots, while its green eyes and white highlights give the face a watchful expression. The composition is portrait-oriented and centres on the cat's profile and patterned coat.

The artwork uses a limited palette of black, pale pink, coral, and gold, with a flat illustrative style that emphasises shape and pattern over realism. The flowers are distributed across the cat's body and tail, creating a decorative surface that contrasts with the plain background. The cat's whiskers and pointed ears are rendered with simple, confident lines.
