The story behind the print
This black dog cocktail poster depicts a whippet in profile, its long neck and pointed muzzle set against a flat olive green panel. Below the dog, a coupe glass holds a pale drink with a single olive on a stem, while deep red borders frame the central scene. The image relies on bold silhouette and simple geometry rather than fine detail.
The artwork uses a limited palette of black, olive green, pale pink and red. The dog's form is rendered as a solid dark shape with subtle texture, and the cocktail glass sits on a pale horizontal band that suggests a table or bar top. The composition is vertical and centred, with the dog's head turned to the right and its tail extending into the lower right corner.
This print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
