The story behind the print

This black lizard wall art shows a reptile in profile with its head raised and tail curled into a tight spiral. The solid black figure stands against a textured tan background, with vertical calligraphy and a small red seal in the upper right corner.

The Japanese ink animal print uses a restricted palette of black, tan, and red. The composition is vertical and centred, with the lizard's curved tail balancing the upright pose. The brush-like edges and calligraphy give the design a traditional ink-painting feel.

Supplied unframed, this print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in the configured sizes from the Size selector.
