The story behind the print

This vertical floral poster depicts stylised blue cornflowers and bright orange poppies arranged on a white background. Slender blue and orange stems rise from the lower edge, with closed buds and pointed leaves adding height and movement. A hand-drawn blue border frames the composition, giving the botanical print a contained, illustrative structure.

The artwork uses a limited palette of deep blue and warm orange, with flat, painterly shapes rather than realistic shading. Open blooms, nodding buds, and thin grasses create a balanced vertical rhythm across the design. The white background keeps the floral motifs distinct, while the blue border echoes the stems and flower heads.

This unframed paper print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in the configured sizes shown in the Size selector.
