The story behind the print
This blue horse head chess piece poster centres on a knight in profile, facing left against a deep navy background. A large cream circle sits behind the upper neck, while the knight itself is pale pink with fine dot shading and a dark blue outline. The piece is shown from the base to the top of the head, giving it a clean, graphic silhouette.
The composition is vertical and symmetrical, with the knight placed centrally and the circular shape echoing the curve of the neck. The textured blue ground adds depth without distracting from the subject. The limited palette of navy, cream, and pale pink keeps the image calm and modern, and the dot shading gives the knight a subtle printed texture.
This chess piece print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
