Blue Koi Fish Poster | Japanese Wave Art Print | Unframed Wall Decor
This blue koi fish poster depicts three patterned koi swimming through stylised indigo waves, reeds, and fan-shaped motifs. The story behind the print
This blue koi fish poster depicts three patterned koi swimming through stylised indigo waves, reeds, and fan-shaped motifs. The fish are drawn with detailed scales and expressive eyes, while the surrounding water is built from rhythmic white linework against a deep blue ground. Warm coral accents appear on the fish and fans, giving the Japanese-style illustration a balanced, graphic contrast.
The composition fills the frame with overlapping fish, curved wave bands, and vertical reeds, creating a dense pattern-like layout. The limited palette of navy, cream, and muted coral keeps the image cohesive, while the bold outlines and flat colour areas reflect an illustrative printmaking style. This animal wall art suits spaces where a strong blue and white motif is wanted.
This koi fish print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
