The story behind the print

This unframed paper print features white magnolia blooms with yellow centres and navy blue linework set against a blue and cream background. The vertical composition includes a branch with green buds and a red-orange seed pod, while the text SPRING RETURNS runs down the left side.

The artwork uses a painted, illustrative style with visible brushstrokes and bold outlines. The palette combines blue, cream, white, yellow, and touches of red and green. The magnolia flowers are arranged diagonally across the frame, with some petals appearing to fall, creating a sense of movement.
