Botanical Watercolour Poster | Patchwork Flower Print
This botanical watercolour poster presents a patchwork of stitched panels, each containing a different plant study. A large pink rose with broad green leaves anchors the upper left, while ginkgo leaves, slender pink flowers, and delicate wildflowers fill adjacent sections. The story behind the print
This botanical watercolour poster presents a patchwork of stitched panels, each containing a different plant study. A large pink rose with broad green leaves anchors the upper left, while ginkgo leaves, slender pink flowers, and delicate wildflowers fill adjacent sections. The panels are separated by visible thread-like borders, giving the composition a quilted, hand-painted character.
The palette moves between soft pink, sage green, ochre, cream, and muted blue, with loose watercolour washes and fine ink outlines. Each panel focuses on a single subject, from a pink rose to green seed pods and orange wildflowers, creating a balanced grid of botanical motifs. The stitched edges and varied background tones add texture without overpowering the plants.
