The story behind the print

This unframed paper print features a seated cat raising a wine glass, drawn in a loose black ink style. Vertical calligraphy runs down the left side, while the cat's closed eyes and upright posture give the figure a calm, almost indifferent expression. The artwork uses a stark black-and-white palette on a plain cream background.

The composition is portrait-oriented, with the cat centred and the wine glass held high. Brush-like strokes define the whiskers, ears, and paws, and the calligraphy adds a typographic element that balances the figure. The minimal palette and uncluttered background keep the focus on the cat's pose and the glass.

Printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks, this poster is supplied unframed and rolled and packaged by hand. It is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
