The story behind the print

This chess king wall art features a stylised chess piece rendered in black and beige with bold brush marks. The king stands at the centre of the composition, with a geometric background of vertical blocks and a black and white chequered base. The word CHESS appears in bold serif capitals beneath the piece, reinforcing the game theme.

The design uses a high-contrast palette of black, beige, and cream, with a mix of solid shapes and sketched lines. The portrait orientation and centred layout give the print a balanced, graphic look. The chess king is the main subject, with the chequered floor and abstract blocks adding depth without distracting from the piece.

This unframed chess poster is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand, and it is available in the configured sizes shown in the Size selector.
