The story behind the print
This coastal boat poster depicts a green sailing boat with a red sail floating on rippled water, viewed from a wooden jetty. In the foreground, a striped cushion and a white cap with a dark band rest on the planks, adding a relaxed nautical detail. The muted palette of green, red, cream, and grey gives the scene a calm, maritime feel.
The composition is vertical, with the boat positioned in the upper half and the jetty leading the eye from the bottom left. The visible brushwork and flat areas of colour suggest an illustrative style, while the striped fabric and the boat's hull provide contrasting textures. This nautical print would suit a hallway, bedroom, or living space with a coastal theme.
