The story behind the print
This colourful pug dog poster features four close-up portraits of pugs arranged in a grid on a muted green background. Each dog has a distinct background colour: purple, pink, orange, and cream. The pugs share the breed's characteristic wrinkled faces, large dark eyes, and curled tails, rendered in bold black linework with halftone shading that gives the design a screen-printed, pop art feel. Red vertical characters appear in the lower right corner, adding a graphic accent to the composition.
The artwork uses a limited palette of purple, pink, orange, cream, and green, with black used for the dogs' features and shading. The square arrangement of four portraits creates a balanced, symmetrical layout that draws the eye across the print. The combination of flat colour blocks and detailed linework gives the piece a retro, illustrative quality. This unframed paper print is suited to living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms, and works well in gallery walls or pet-themed interiors.
The print is supplied unframed and is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes. The frame is not included.
