The story behind the print

This colourful tropical fish poster presents a dense, all-over pattern of stylised fish painted in a loose, hand-rendered style. Red, blue, yellow, white and black fish fill the vertical composition, including striped angelfish, spotted reef fish and solid-bodied varieties. The pale blue background keeps the busy arrangement readable, while the flat painted shapes give the design a decorative, illustrative quality suited to nautical wall art.

The print uses a bright, high-contrast palette of primary and secondary colours, with red and blue dominating the school. Each fish is shown in side profile with visible fins, tails and eyes, and the overlapping layout creates a repeating, almost textile-like rhythm. This makes the artwork a strong choice for a bathroom, kitchen or coastal-themed room where a colourful ocean print can add pattern and movement.

Supplied unframed, this print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in the configured sizes shown in the Size selector.
