The story behind the print
This desert deer silhouette poster shows two black deer standing on layered hills in a warm, arid landscape. The taller deer on the left faces right, while the smaller deer on the right faces left, creating a balanced pairing across the sloping terrain. A textured sky in pale peach and cream sits above rolling orange and pink hills, with a dark olive-green ridge behind the right-hand deer.
The artwork uses a grainy, print-like texture and flat blocks of colour rather than fine detail, giving the scene an illustrative, almost screen-printed quality. The palette is dominated by burnt orange, dusty pink, and muted olive, with the solid black silhouettes providing strong contrast. The vertical composition draws the eye upward from the foreground hills to the open sky.
This animal landscape print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
