The story behind the print
This folk art butterfly poster places a symmetrical winged insect at the centre of the composition, surrounded by stylised red and yellow flowers on a cream background. The butterfly's wings are decorated with red floral motifs and dark blue accents, while matching blooms and leafy stems frame the design above and below. The flat, graphic style and balanced layout give the artwork a traditional decorative feel.
The palette combines warm red, golden yellow, dark blue, and olive green against a neutral cream ground. Each flower is built from simple petal shapes and circular centres, and the butterfly's wings echo those same botanical details. The vertical arrangement and symmetrical structure make this an easy piece to place alongside other prints or to hang as a standalone focal point.
