The story behind the print

This unframed paper poster features a white cat with a smug expression holding a glass of red wine aloft. The cat's raised paw and half-closed eyes give the illustration a dry, knowing humour, while the glass contains a visible measure of red liquid. On the left side, vertical red Japanese characters run down a cream background, adding a graphic, typographic element to the composition.

The artwork uses a split background of cream and deep red, with the cat positioned centrally against the red panel. Fine black outlines define the cat's face, whiskers, and paw, while the red wine and red characters create a limited but striking palette. The vertical text and the cat's upright pose give the print a poster-like, illustrative style that reads clearly from a distance. This design works well as a humorous cat print for a kitchen, home bar, or living room wall.

Each print is supplied unframed and the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Every print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes, which can be chosen from the Size selector.
