The story behind the print
This humorous horse poster shows a rust-orange horse and a grey horse standing face to face with their front legs wrapped around each other in an embrace. The words "HOLD YER" appear in bold black capitals above the pair, while "HORSES" sits below, turning a common phrase into a visual joke. The background is a flat, muted grey-green that keeps the focus on the two animals and the typography.
The design uses a textured, block-print style with visible grain and slightly rough edges. Both horses have black manes, black hooves, and simple dark eyes, and the composition is centred and symmetrical. The palette is limited to rust orange, slate grey, black, and grey-green, giving the print a graphic, modern feel that suits a hallway, living room, or study.
This horse poster is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks.
