The story behind the print
This unframed paper print features a black and white goat sitting on a wooden chair, reading a purple book in a pink laundry room. Above the goat, a clothesline holds colourful garments, including striped and patterned fabrics, while a white washing machine and a sink with a steaming tap sit behind. A woven basket of laundry rests on a floral floor, adding to the busy domestic scene.
The illustration uses a bold, flat palette of pink, purple, orange, and green, with the goat's textured coat and curved horns standing out against the pink wall. The composition is centred on the seated goat, with the hanging clothes and appliances framing the character. This quirky animal poster combines domestic objects with a whimsical subject, making it a distinctive piece for a laundry room or kitchen.
