The story behind the print

This goldfish wall art print presents fifteen fish arranged across a warm beige background. Red, black and cream goldfish appear in varied poses, with flowing fins, spotted bodies and a vertical column of calligraphy at the lower right. The composition reads as a vintage Japanese fish poster, with each fish drawn in a distinct ink style.

The artwork uses a limited palette of red, black and cream against the tan ground. Fish are shown from above and in profile, with some displaying long trailing fins and others compact rounded bodies. The hand-painted look and the calligraphy column give the design a traditional illustration character. This Japanese fish poster works as a single statement piece or alongside other animal prints.

This goldfish wall art print is supplied unframed and the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks.
