The story behind the print

This unframed paper print reproduces a vintage Japanese woodblock illustration of sixteen fish arranged across a cream background. Each fish is shown in profile with visible scales, fins, and tails, using layered greens, teals, and muted orange accents. Small kanji characters appear at the top centre of the composition.

The fish vary in size and orientation, creating a loose grid that fills the vertical format. The illustrative style uses fine linework and flat colour blocks typical of woodblock printing, with no background scenery beyond the textured cream paper. This green fish poster works well in a kitchen, study, or gallery wall arrangement.

Supplied unframed, the frame is not included. The print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
