The story behind the print
This Japanese cat poster centres on a black cat with narrow red eyes, its head filling the frame above a tray of sushi. Two red chopsticks cut diagonally across the lower left, while red seal stamps and kanji-style characters run along the top and sides. The cat's whiskers and paws are drawn with fine lines against the dark fur.
The composition is portrait and tightly cropped, giving the design a bold, graphic presence. The palette is restricted to black, warm red, and a pale paper tone, with the red stamps and chopsticks providing the strongest contrast. Sushi rolls sit on a simple rectangular tray at the bottom edge, and the cat's front paws rest on either side.
This print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in the configured sizes shown in the Size selector.
