The story behind the print

This Japanese oni demon poster centres on a stylised face with cream cloud-shaped hair, orange horns, and a navy blue complexion. Three red maple leaves fall across the lower left and bottom right of the composition, contrasting with the deep blue wave pattern that fills the background.

The artwork uses a limited palette of navy, cream, and orange, with the oni's features defined by bold cream outlines against the dark face. The wave pattern, reminiscent of traditional Japanese motifs, adds texture behind the central figure, while the maple leaves introduce a seasonal autumn element. The portrait orientation and symmetrical face create a balanced, graphic composition.

This print is supplied unframed and printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes. The frame is not included.
