The story behind the print
This koi fish poster shows a white carp with two orange patches swimming upward through a field of concentric teal ripples. The fish is centred in a vertical composition, with its tail curving down and its head turned slightly to the right. A small red seal sits in the lower right corner.
The artwork uses a limited palette of deep teal, cream and orange, with the ripples forming a dense, wave-like texture around the fish. The style is illustrative and Japanese-inspired, with a calm, meditative mood. The koi is the clear focal point, and the circular water pattern adds movement without distracting from the subject.
This print is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand, and it is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
