The story behind the print

This koi fish wall art depicts a single koi swimming upward against a solid sage green background. The fish has a white body with irregular navy and peach patches, and its fins are detailed with thin dark lines that suggest movement through water. The composition is vertical, with the koi centred and angled slightly to the right.

The illustration uses a limited palette of navy, peach, cream and sage green, giving the design a calm, graphic quality. The koi's scales are not individually drawn; instead, colour blocks and line work define its form. This Japanese poster would suit a living room, bedroom or hallway where a quiet, nature-led image is wanted.

This unframed print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in multiple sizes. The frame is not included.
