Koi Fish Wall Art | Japanese Woodblock Poster | Orange and Blue
This koi fish wall art shows three orange and white carp swimming through stylised blue wave patterns. The upper fish angles downward, the centre koi turns across the current, and the lower carp curves upward, each with visible scales, whiskers and flowing fins. Dark blue fan shapes and slender plants frame the water, giving the Japanese woodblock poster a balanced vertical composition.

The story behind the print
This koi fish wall art shows three orange and white carp swimming through stylised blue wave patterns. The upper fish angles downward, the centre koi turns across the current, and the lower carp curves upward, each with visible scales, whiskers and flowing fins. Dark blue fan shapes and slender plants frame the water, giving the Japanese woodblock poster a balanced vertical composition.
The design uses a warm cream ground with teal waves and coral-orange fish. Outlined in dark blue, the koi retain the flat colour areas and carved line quality of traditional woodblock printing. The repeating wave motifs and symmetrical plant forms create a calm, rhythmic pattern that suits a Japanese poster or an illustrative animal print.
This unframed print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in the configured sizes through the Size selector. The frame is not included.
