The story behind the print

This unframed paper print presents a dense meadow scene with a teal butterfly in flight above a green grasshopper resting on broad leaves. Tall stems, wildflowers, and spiky foliage fill the portrait composition, drawn in fine black linework against a cream background.

The illustrative style uses flat colour and precise outlines to distinguish each element, from the butterfly's segmented wings to the grasshopper's jointed legs. A palette of deep greens, soft cream, and muted orange shapes the botanical setting, while a small bee adds a secondary point of interest near the upper right.

Printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks, each print is rolled and packaged by hand. The frame is not included, and the print is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
