The story behind the print
This unframed paper print depicts a sunlit Mediterranean patio with a leafy orange tree in a terracotta pot, a white bistro table and chairs, and pale blue shutters on a pale blue wall. Ripe oranges and a coffee pot on the table add warm colour to the scene.
The composition centres on the open window and the orange tree, with a white bistro set in the foreground. The palette combines pale blue, green, terracotta, and bright orange. The photographic style captures the textures of the stone wall and the dappled shadows across the patio.
