The story behind the print

This illustrative wall art presents a creative composition featuring a detailed mushroom sprouting from the centre of a classic cassette tape. The design uses a bold, carved woodcut style to render the organic textures of the fungi against the mechanical form of the music tape, combining botanical and retro elements. The palette features deep green for the mushroom, offset by a dark blue cassette body and a warm, neutral paper background.

The artwork employs a distinct linocut aesthetic, emphasising strong lines and high contrast to define the tape reels and mushroom cap. This piece merges themes of nature and music nostalgia in a surreal, graphic format. It serves as an intriguing addition to spaces where a blend of retro technology and natural forms is desired.

Each print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper for a high-quality finish.
