The story behind the print

This orange tabby cat and fish poster shows a wide-eyed cat with green eyes leaning over a ledge toward a purple fish on a patterned plate. Japanese kanji characters run down the right side, while a muted green background frames the composition. The woodblock-inspired illustration uses warm orange fur, purple fish scales, and green accents.

The cat's front paw extends downward toward the fish, creating a direct visual link between the two subjects. Black brush-style calligraphy appears on the left, and a red seal stamp sits at the lower right. The plate is decorated with a purple pattern and green garnish, adding detail to the lower half of the image.
