The story behind the print
This orange tabby cat poster shows a wide-eyed kitten reaching one striped paw toward a small fish resting on a purple patterned plate. The cat's green eyes, black whiskers and orange fur with dark tabby markings are set against a muted green background. Purple brushstroke-style calligraphy runs down the right side of the composition.
The illustration uses a warm palette of orange, green, purple and cream, with visible brush-like linework across the cat's fur and the fish's scales. The vertical portrait layout places the cat in the upper half and the plate in the lower half, creating a clear downward gaze and reaching action. This Japanese cat and fish print is suited to kitchen walls, dining areas or gallery groupings.
