The story behind the print
This Oriental lantern wall art print depicts a vertical arrangement of hanging paper lanterns, birdcages, and stylised cloud motifs on a warm tan background. The illustration uses green, blue, red, and cream, with cherry blossom branches crossing the lower edge and a bird perched inside one cage. The composition reads as a decorative Asian-inspired pattern rather than a single scene.
The artwork combines several lantern shapes, including a blue ribbed sphere, a red textured globe, and a tall green cylindrical lantern, alongside rectangular birdcages with bamboo detailing. The flat illustrative style, limited palette, and repeated motifs give the print a graphic, wallpaper-like quality suited to interior decoration.
