The story behind the print

This colourful botanical poster features stylised pink and yellow poppies with dark green stems, leaves, and seed pods on a pale pink background. The flowers are painted with flat, bold shapes and visible brush marks, giving the design a lively, hand-painted feel. Large open blooms sit alongside closed buds and curved yellow leaves, creating a dense, repeating pattern across the portrait format.

The artwork uses a limited palette of bright pink, mustard yellow, deep green, and soft blush, with small black dots scattered throughout the composition. The illustrative style keeps the poppies simple and graphic, while the vertical arrangement of stems draws the eye upward. This floral design suits a gallery wall, a bedroom, or a living room where a colourful accent is wanted.

This unframed paper print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks.
