The story behind the print

This cat poster features a red and black striped cat stretching across the composition in a Japanese woodblock style. The cat's body is elongated, with its tail curling upward and its front paws reaching forward. A red seal appears in the upper left corner, and the background has a textured, horizontal line pattern. The palette is dominated by black, red, and beige tones.

The design uses bold, flat shapes and strong outlines typical of Japanese woodblock prints. The cat's face is shown in profile with closed eyes, and the red and black stripes create a striking contrast against the beige background. The composition is vertical, making it suitable for narrow wall spaces. The red seal adds an authentic touch to the Japanese aesthetic.
