The story behind the print
This unframed paper print features a single red chilli pepper with a curved body and a pointed green stem. Bold yellow lettering spells out "YOU'RE HOT" along the lower curve, while the upper half of the chilli is filled with a pixelated pattern of red, orange, and yellow squares. The background is a soft, solid pink that keeps the focus on the central subject.
The composition is portrait-oriented, with the chilli placed centrally and the text following its natural curve. The pixelated section adds a digital, pop-art feel, contrasting with the smooth red area below. The colour palette is dominated by bright red and yellow, with supporting orange and pink tones. This typography-led design combines food imagery with a playful, graphic style.
