The story behind the print

This vertical wall art print depicts a collection of red and pink paper lanterns suspended against a muted olive green background. The lanterns vary in shape, including round, cylindrical, and teardrop forms, with some featuring painted floral motifs in white and dark green. Gold vertical lines represent the hanging cords, while dark green tassels add contrast at the base of several lanterns.

The illustration style is flat and graphic, using a limited palette of deep red, soft pink, olive green, and cream. The composition fills the frame with overlapping lanterns, creating a dense, decorative pattern that draws the eye across the print. The floral designs on the rectangular lanterns add a botanical element to the festive subject.

This unframed print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes. The design suits a living room, hallway, or dining area with an oriental or celebratory theme.
