The story behind the print

This unframed paper print features a graphic red octopus with large round eyes and curling tentacles outlined in black. The stylised sea creature is centred on a textured sage green background, creating a bold contrast between the rust red body and dark linework. The composition is simple and symmetrical, with the octopus filling most of the vertical frame.

The design uses a limited palette of rust red, black, and muted sage green. The tentacles curl outward in looping shapes, while the flat colour blocks and visible paper texture give the artwork a mid-century illustrative feel. This modern animal poster works well in a living room, hallway, or child's bedroom, adding a playful focal point without overwhelming the space.
