The story behind the print
This botanical poster depicts red sweet pea flowers with curling green vines and dark rounded leaves across a warm beige ground. The coral-red blooms are shown in different stages, from open petals with fine white veins to small buds, creating a lively vertical composition. The plant winds naturally around the frame, giving the artwork a gentle, organic rhythm.
The illustration uses flat, screen-printed colour shapes and clean outlines, with a limited palette of red, dark green, and beige. The curling tendrils and varied leaf clusters add movement, while the simple background keeps the focus on the flowers. A small red seal in the lower right corner echoes the traditional print aesthetic.
