The story behind the print
This retro boombox poster centres on a vintage portable radio with a raised metal antenna, a circular mesh speaker, and a cassette deck with two visible reels. A large orange sun circle sits behind the boombox, contrasting with the olive-green casing and cream background. The angled composition gives the music wall art a dynamic, mid-century feel.
The design uses a limited palette of orange, olive green, cream, and black. The boombox is drawn in an illustrative, textured style that resembles screen printing. The radio's tuning panel, handle, and control buttons are clearly defined, while the oversized sun creates a bold backdrop. This vintage radio print would suit a living room, music corner, or studio space.
