The story behind the print
This retro ice cream sundae poster shows fifteen dessert glasses arranged in three rows of five. Each glass is a different colour, including pink, blue, green, red, black and yellow, and most are topped with a bright red cherry. The sundaes also feature sliced bananas, chocolate sauce, orange segments and wafer sticks, creating a varied and colourful grid.
The artwork uses a chalky, textured illustrative style with soft edges and a pale pink background. The composition is evenly spaced and symmetrical, giving the print a playful, mid-century feel. The bold palette and simple shapes make the dessert glasses easy to read from a distance, while the repeated cherry motif ties the rows together.
