The story behind the print
This retro music room poster depicts a warm, sunlit listening space centred on a wooden desk with a turntable and vinyl record. Two orange swivel chairs face the desk, while floor-to-ceiling shelves hold rows of records and framed album art. A pendant lamp casts a triangular beam of light across the scene, highlighting the wood grain and the rich orange upholstery.
The illustration uses a limited palette of burnt orange, amber, and brown, with deep shadows creating a cosy, nostalgic atmosphere. The composition is balanced between the symmetrical shelving and the angled chairs, drawing the eye toward the turntable. Visible details include a stack of loose records, a second pair of speakers on the shelves, and framed artwork leaning against the top shelf.
This music room poster is supplied unframed and printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes. The frame is not included.
