The story behind the print
This retro space satellite poster depicts a blocky spacecraft with a central body, antennae, and a long black solar panel array stretching diagonally across the composition. A large orange sun sits behind the satellite on a tan background, creating a bold mid-century sci-fi illustration style. The unframed paper print is supplied without a frame, allowing the artwork to be displayed as it is or styled to suit a space-themed interior.
The design uses a limited palette of tan, orange, and black, with the solar panels forming a strong diagonal line that cuts through the circular sun. The satellite is drawn with visible mechanical details, including a dish, antennae, and a small white cloud-like shape near the sun. This retro space satellite print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks, giving the illustration a smooth, even finish.
Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes, which can be selected from the Size selector. The unframed paper print suits a gallery wall, a child's bedroom, or an office space where a retro sci-fi or space exploration theme is wanted. The satellite and sun composition remains the central visual focus of the artwork.
