The story behind the print

This ship's wheel poster centres on a large wooden helm with eight spokes and a dark central hub. Behind it, a teal-painted deck and cream sails fill the background, while a thick rope hangs to the left. The oil-paint style is evident in the visible brushstrokes and textured surface, giving the nautical scene a hand-painted quality.

The composition is tightly cropped, emphasising the wheel's circular form and the contrast between the warm brown wood and the cool teal and beige surroundings. The muted palette and illustrative technique make this print suited to coastal or maritime-themed interiors, where it can serve as a focal point on a wall.

This ship's wheel poster is supplied unframed and printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer with authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes.
