The story behind the print
This unframed paper print features a sleeping hedgehog curled tightly among tall purple lavender stems. The animal's eyes are closed, its small paws tucked beneath its snout, while dark flecks across its back suggest soft spines. Lavender flowers rise around the hedgehog in layered violet and deep blue tones, with green leaves and loose petals scattered across a warm beige background.
The illustration uses visible brushstrokes and a loose, painterly technique rather than sharp outlines. Purple and blue dominate the floral border, while the hedgehog's pale fur and pink paws sit at the centre of the composition. The vertical portrait format places the curled animal low in the frame, letting the lavender stems extend upward and fill the surrounding space.
Printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper, this animal wall art is produced with a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector. The frame is not included, so the print arrives unframed and ready for display.
