The story behind the print
This stag beetle wall art print shows two detailed insects arranged vertically on a cream background. The upper beetle has large curved mandibles and a dark head, while the lower beetle mirrors the pose with a rounded thorax and visible wing cases. Small leaf motifs and insect marks sit at the sides, adding to the vintage entomology layout.
The illustration uses a restrained green and beige palette with fine line work across the segmented legs, antennae, and textured elytra. The symmetrical composition and centred placement give the print a formal, scientific character. It works as an insect print for a study, hallway, or gallery wall, where the detailed stag beetle drawing can be seen clearly.
This entomology poster is supplied unframed, so the frame is not included. It is printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks. Each print is rolled and packaged by hand and is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector.
