The story behind the print
This illustration centres on an orange tabby cat lounging across a black and yellow vertically striped armchair. Behind the chair, a pink vase holds bright pink flowers against a coral-red panel, while a tall green rubber plant stands to the right. The floor is covered in a black and cream leopard print, and a black and white spotted teapot rests on a stack of books beside a blue bowl of green pears.
The artwork uses flat, graphic shapes and a bold palette of orange, yellow, black, pink and green. The cat's direct gaze and relaxed pose anchor the composition, while the mix of stripes, spots and botanical forms creates a lively, patterned interior scene. The vertical orientation and strong colour blocking give the print a modern, illustrative character.
