The story behind the print

This sunflower and stag beetle art print presents a golden-yellow sunflower head with a dark blue centre, its petals rendered in loose, painterly strokes. A stag beetle in deep blue climbs the curving stem, while broad blue leaves extend to the left and right. The two-colour botanical illustration combines yellow and blue against a pale cream background.

The composition places the sunflower at the top, with the beetle and leaves forming a vertical arrangement below. The stag beetle's mandibles and segmented legs are clearly defined in blue line work, contrasting with the softer yellow petals. This unframed paper print uses a limited palette that gives the nature scene a graphic, illustrative quality.

Printed to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and authentic Mimaki OEM inks, the poster is rolled and packaged by hand. It is available in multiple sizes through the Size selector. The frame is not included.
