The story behind the print

This unframed paper print depicts two swallows in flight around a large red crescent moon. The upper bird swoops downward with its wings raised, while the lower swallow angles upward with its tail streamers extended. Both birds are rendered in dark navy with red faces and underparts, set against a cream background with scattered gold stars.

Below the moon, a gold branch with small red buds anchors the composition. The design uses a limited palette of navy, red, and gold on cream, with a flat, graphic style and visible ink texture. The vertical layout centres on the crescent moon and the two birds, creating a balanced, upward-sweeping arrangement.

Supplied unframed, this print is produced to order in the UK on 270 gsm premium satin paper using a 12-colour Mimaki UCJV300-160 printer and Mimaki OEM inks. It is rolled and packaged by hand and available in multiple sizes. The frame is not included.
