The story behind the print
This illustrated wall art print centres on a ginger tabby cat reclining across a green and white striped armchair. The cat looks directly forward with pale green eyes, its striped tail curling over the seat cushion. Below the chair, a beige teapot rests on a stack of books beside a dark bowl holding three green pears. Leafy branches frame the scene on both sides, set against a background of patterned wallpaper with circular motifs and floral borders.
The composition uses a warm, earthy palette of brown, olive green, cream, and beige. The painting style is illustrative and painterly, with visible brushstrokes and simplified shapes. The vertical stripes of the armchair create a strong central axis, while the cat's relaxed pose and the still-life objects below add a domestic, quiet mood. The background pattern includes subtle geometric and botanical details that reward closer looking.
